many years ago in a village in France near Toulouse lived a master glassmaker named Nicholas. Lived very happy with his family, working for the French court. He worked the glass making all kinds of pieces, but I had to keep secret because it was a state secret.
One day some men came to the workshop sent by the queen of Spain Elizabeth Farnese and said that the Queen needed glassmakers and who had chosen him to make glass in the Palacio de la Granja. As I said they were going to pay much, he told his family packed their bags and moved to Spain.
He worked hard few months and one day the King of France heard that lacked a master glassmaker. He went to Spain and told Queen Isabella: give me back my master glassmaker or else begin a war against your country. Queen Elizabeth replied angrily: never will I need to fabricate the world's most beautiful lamp to my Palace.
Then began a war in which, as always, won Spain. Unfairly won that France was right, but Elizabeth Farnese was very stubborn. Then the master glassmaker continued to produce beautiful lighting for the palace of the farm and the you can see when you want if you go to the palace of La Granja in Segovia.
